Simple Caffeine Tracker helps you monitor your caffeine intake and know exactly when you'll be ready to sleep. The app uses scientifically-based calculations to track how caffeine decays in your body over time, personalized to your gender and weight.
How is caffeine decay calculated?
The app uses the scientifically established caffeine half-life: 5 hours for males and 6 hours for females. This means that after this time period, half of the caffeine you consumed is still in your system.
Why do I need to enter my weight and gender?
These factors affect how your body processes caffeine. Your weight helps determine your safe daily caffeine limit (approximately 5.5mg per kilogram of body weight), and your gender affects the caffeine half-life rate.
Can I edit or delete a drink entry?
Yes! On the main screen, tap the history tab and long-press on any drink entry to edit its time or delete it.
Is my data shared or sent anywhere?
No. All your data is stored locally on your device. We don't have servers, and we don't collect, transmit, or share any of your information. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
How do I delete all my data?
Simply uninstall the app. Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling will permanently remove all your information.
What is the "sleep ready" threshold?
The app considers you ready for quality sleep when your caffeine level drops below 50mg. This threshold is based on research showing that caffeine levels above 50mg can impact sleep quality.
Can I add custom drinks?
Currently, the app includes a curated list of common caffeinated drinks with standard caffeine amounts. Custom drink support may be added in future updates.
